Short description: Real estate agents represent sellers, buyers or both on sales and purchases of real estate. For sellers they create a listing and add it to the “MLS” where every licensed Realtor can see the property by doing a simple search. They also market the real estate they’re trying to sell by holding “open house”, adding the listings in local magazines, news papers, their own web site, and etc…
For buyers they are constantly finding properties that fit their criteria and drive them around so they can see and get a feel for the properties. They also show them the area(schools, parks, and etc..).

Their pay ranges from 50%-100% of $0 to 50%-100% of $20,000,000 and up.

From my understanding with Realtors that I work with they’re constantly in school whether its because there’s a new law or a new marketing tip they need everything they can get to stay on top of their game. Many classes are not “required” but they constantly attend these classes. They say that’s how they set themselves apart from the rest.
