California Real Estate You don't go to a University for real estate. Go to a realtors office, they usually know where they are giving classes at. After you finish the classes which probably takes about 6 weeks you take the state exam. When you pass it you become a licensed real estate agent. Realtors only make commission, not salary so you have to hussle to sell. If you don't sell you don't get paid.
